MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – China will certify some part of its automobiles in Belarus, Sergei Chizhik, First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of Belarus’ National Academy of Sciences (NASB), told Chinese journalists on 4 May, BelTA informs.
According to Sergei Chizik, China will certify some of its automobiles, including Geely, at the NASB national proving ground for mobile machines.
He continued to speak about Belarus-China cooperation in science. In the last three years, the two countries signed 17 agreements. They operate 20 joint laboratories, including the ones developing magnetic materials, modified graphite, and agricultural microbiology. In turn, Speaker of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich spoke in favor of expanding the network of Belarus-China laboratories specializing in laser physics, chemistry, and nanotechnologies.
Bai Chunli, president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is scheduled to visit Belarus in May. Last year, he was elected foreign member of the NASB. His upcoming visit is expected to promote cooperation between the two academies of sciences.
