MINSK, 29 May (BelTA) – Belarus shipped about 50,000 tonnes of oil products via Russian ports in January-March 2018, BelTA learned from Andrei Rybakov, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim.
Asked about plans to ship Belarusian oil products via Russian ports, the official noted that Belarusian Oil Company always considers the Russian direction when it needs to sell oil products. “Plans to transship up to 1 million tonnes of oil products via Russia are allowed. There is positive dynamics already. About 50,000 tonnes of oil products went through this direction in Q1 2018,” said Andrei Rybakov.
The official took part in the opening of the international expos on chemical, oil, gas industries, and plastic technology as part of the Belarusian Industrial Forum on 29 May. During the opening ceremony Andrei Rybakov said that Belneftekhim exports over 70% of its output and makes over 500 kinds of products. “In 2017 Belneftekhim shipped about $8 billion worth of products to over 100 countries across the globe. I think we will seriously raise this figure this year,” he added.
