Social construction projects in Great Stone Park to be launched in JuneMINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – China will provide technical and economic assistance in the development of social infrastructure in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone. It is planned that the construction of social facilities in the area will be launched in June. The matter was discussed at the meeting between Belarus’ Vice Premier Anatoly Kalinin and General Representative of China Merchants Group in Central Asia and the Baltic Region, Chief Executive Officer of the Industrial Park Development Company Hu Zheng, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The parties took stock of the work done to set up the Great Stone Industrial Park and discussed plans and strategic goals for 2017.

Social construction projects in Great Stone Park to be launched in June“I would like to note that we have fulfilled all the tasks set forth by the President of Belarus concerning the development of the industrial park, the construction of the engineering infrastructure. However, we still need to do more – attract investments and residents to our park,” said Anatoly Kalinin. He added that the park offers all necessary infrastructure for any investor to come.

Social construction projects in Great Stone Park to be launched in JuneHu Zheng said for his part that an agreement was reached with the Chinese government on China’s technical and economic assistance for the construction of social facilities in the park. These projects will include a clinic, a dwelling for 144 apartments, an innovations commercialization center and public transport facilities.

The parties also confirmed mutual interest in setting up a joint design institute to develop project documents for the park residents. Agreements were also reached to complete formal procedures on the creation of the institute by late April 2017.
