MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – The agreement portfolio following China President Xi Jinping’s visit to Belarus has totaled nearly $18 billion, Deputy Head of the Belarus President’s Administration Nikolai Snopkov said in an interview to the Belarus 1 TV Channel, BelTA informs.
According to him, Belarus and China signed about 50 agreements and memorandums during Xi Jinping’s visit.
“We believe that $18 billion is not the final sum,” Nikolai Snopkov noted.
Speaking about the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone, Nikolai Snopkov added that in 2010 Alexander Lukashenko and Xi Jinping outlined the need to build it. “During the state visit of the Chinese President, it was announced that the Great Stone was a pearl of China’s One Belt, One Road strategy,” the deputy head of the Belarus President’s Administration said. “Belarus with its well-developed railway and highway infrastructure is ready to secure transit flows.
