GRODNO, 18 July (BelTA) – Small and medium-sized enterprises will get exhibition areas on preferential terms at the national wholesale and retail expo of Belarus in the Moscow trade and logistics center Aurora, Chairman of the Presidium of the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship Vladimir Karyagin said at the seminar on export development in Grodno on 18 July, BelTA informs.
“The expo will be opened soon, it will be the largest permanent exposition of Belarus abroad. Our manufacturers will occupy about 54,000 square meters on preferential terms. This is an excellent opportunity to make a statement not only on the Russian market because Moscow has dozens of embassies of countries that are not represented in Belarus. Large traditional exporters, small and medium-sized enterprises are invited to take part,” Vladimir Karyagin said. He stressed that there is a big potential for the promotion of export by SMEs in all fields. At present these companies account for more than 30% of the country’s export.
Besides, Grodno entrepreneurs got familiar with the Enterprise Europe Network. There are only seven Belarusian enterprises at the international platform where one can find business partners , get access to investments and cheap loans.
Chairman of the Economy Committee at the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Andrei Sviridov said at the seminar that new export positions regularly emerge thanks to small and medium-sized enterprises of the region. There are fully or partially export-oriented companies. He cites the company producing fruit fillers in Volkovysk as an example. The products of this factory sell well both on the domestic market and in Russia.
Partaking in the seminar were the representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises of Grodno Oblast. A similar meeting was previously held in Brest. Seminars are also organized in Mogilev and Vitebsk.
