Serbia, Belarus discuss supplies of agricultural machinery

MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – Ambassador of Belarus to Serbia Vladimir Chushev and Serbia President Tomislav Nikolic discussed matters related to the supplies of Belarusian agricultural machinery to Serbia and ways to expand bilateral cooperation, BelTA learned from Vladimir Chushev.

Tomislav Nikolic visited Belarus’ pavilion at the 83rd International Agricultural Fair held in Novi Sad from 14 to 20 May. The large-scale expo has brought together more than 1,500 participants from 60 countries. The Belarusian pavilion showcases products of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark), Saleo, Belshina, Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, Lidagropprommash, Minsk Gear Works, and other companies.

Vladimir Chushev said that there are 22 tractor models of different sizes on display. The pavilion has been arranged by the company Belarus Agropanonka. The process was coordinated by the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Novi Sad.

On the opening day, the Belarusian pavilion also welcomed Serbian Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic, Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic, and Novi Sad Mayor Milos Vucevic.

Ambassador Vladimir Chushev pointed out that the Serbian head of state paid a visit to Minsk Tractor Works as part of his visit to the Belarus in November 2015. Work is underway to organize a visit of the Serbian Prime Minister to Belarus and the Days of Belgrade in Minsk to bolster bilateral trade and economic ties.
