Saxony eager to cooperate with companies of Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park

MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Germany’s Saxony is eager to cooperate with companies of the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park, BelTA learned from the press service of the park that hosted a delegation of the Landtag of the Federal State of Saxony led by Landtag President Matthias Roessler on 30 June.

The delegation visited the Hi-Tech Park to study practices of setting up and developing such projects. The German MPs and businessmen met with senior executives from the administration of the Hi-Tech Park and paid a visit to the business incubator. They were briefed about the principles and results of work of the park and its subsidiaries. The parties exchanged views on the present and future of the IT industry and discussed ways to attract young people into technology and engineering.

Andrei Klishevich, development director for the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) at SaM Solutions which is a resident of the Hi-Tech Park, spoke about the specificities of working with this region.

The parties agreed to strengthen contacts and develop cooperation.

The population of Saxony is 4.13 million. Over the past 25 years, the economy of the region has made an enormous leap forward.
