MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) - Russia’s Tatarstan is ready to offer a site for the production and sale of Amkodor machines, Tatarstan’s Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko said in a new episode of BelTA’s YouTube project “After the Fact: Lukashenko’s Decisions”.
During the visit to Belarus, the delegation from this Russian region visited a number of enterprises, including the mechanical engineering companies Amkodor, MTZ, BelAZ. "We see that factories are busy. They produce machines that are completely competitive with those produced in the West and China," Oleg Korobchenko shared his impressions. At the same time, he acknowledged that there are still a number of outstanding issues that both sides have to work on. But there is confidence that solutions will be found. "I think the meetings between representatives of our enterprises will bring great financial, technological, and economic results for our states," he said.
Separately, Oleg Korobchenko mentioned the visit to Amkodor. "We would like to offer them a foothold in Tatarstan so that they can expand sales, distribution and maintenance. Perhaps, they would like to place their manufacturing on our territory,” Oleg Korobchenko noted. “The Russian market is huge. Many foreign companies have left our market. So replacing them is a priority for both us and Belarusian manufacturers. If Amkodor decides to gain a foothold in our region, we will be happy to offer them a site and joint projects.”
