MOSCOW, 19 June (BelTA) – Bilateral cooperation and promising areas of interaction have been discussed at a meeting between Ambassador Extraoridnary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko and Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast of Russia Evgeny Kuivashev, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.
“The parties expressed interest in deepening industrial cooperation, first of all, between BelAZ and Sinara Group to produce haulers fitted with engines of the Ural company, deliver farming, passenger, road construction and utility vehicles to Sverdlovsk Oblast, invite Belarusian specialists to design and construct facilities in Sverdlovsk Oblast, and increase the supplies of food products and agricultural produce,” the press service said.
The parties signed a roadmap for 2019-2021 to implement the intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Sverdlovsk Oblast on trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation. Evgeny Kuivashev confirmed his readiness to visit Minsk for a meeting of the Belarus-Sverdlovsk Oblast Business Cooperation Council.
In 2018, the trade between Belarus and Sverdlovsk Oblast totaled $431.3 million, up 17.6% from 2017.
