MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Russia’s Samara Oblast intends to buy up to 180 units of equipment from Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark), BelTA has learned.
MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk met with members of the Samara Oblast government the other day. Prospects of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed.
It was noted that MTZ tractors represent over half of the tractors used in Samara Oblast fields. Over 150 MTZ tractors were shipped to Samara Oblast in 2022. The region intends to buy up to 180 units of equipment in 2023.
The meeting also touched upon the provision of Samara Oblast municipal services and road construction and maintenance agencies with vehicles, special machines, parts and maintenance services as well as deliveries of MTZ tracked tractors. Apart from that, the sides intend to advance cooperation towards personnel training and the organization of joint scientific research at premises of the higher education institutions that operate in this Russian region.
During the visit the MTZ delegation held negotiations with heads of Samara Oblast enterprises, who are interested in establishing cooperation. Those included the trading house PodshipnikMash Samara, Pegas Agro Company, the automobile company Samara, Samara State Agrarian University, Selmash Company.
