Russia’s Bashkortostan continues to advance cooperation with Belarus

Russia’s Bashkortostan continues to advance cooperation with Belarus

SMOLEVICHI DISTRICT, 8 February (BelTA) - A lot of work is underway to develop cooperation with Belarus, which is the main partner for us, Head of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov said during a visit to the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, BelTA has learned.

According to Radiy Khabirov, a lot of work is underway to develop cooperation with Belarus. "For us, Belarus is the main partner. We have now moved to the stage of deep integration of our enterprises and mutual investments. In order to maintain a high pace of cooperation, we need to meet regularly, think over and discuss new projects," he said. “We have again brought a business mission. It includes 54 companies that want to find new partners. I am sure that we will find common ground. Tomorrow there will be B2B meetings and presentations of our companies."

"We, officials, open the gates for our business. This is impossible without effective, permanent ties with the leadership of Belarus. Tomorrow we will have a meeting with the prime minister of the country. We will discuss our roadmap. Everything that we agree on goes into this document that spells out point men, deadlines, monitoring and so on. We are moving forward. We will probably be ready to sign three major agreements in the field of mechanical engineering. This is a joint project of MAZ and the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant to build a trolleybus factory. Then there is a project to set up a battery factory. We are very interested in this competence. And the project that we already got off the ground already is AMKODOR-Alga to manufacture heavy-duty loading and construction equipment," said the head of Bashkortostan.

Radiy Khabirov toured the industrial park and visited the production site of the Aviation Technologies and Complexes company.
