MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – Russia’s Astrakhan Oblast is interested in compact BELARUS tractors, the region's governor Alexander Zhilkin said as he visited Minsk Tractor Works (MTS trademark), BelTA learned from the company.
The delegation of Astrakhan Oblast visited the company during an official visit to Belarus. The guests got acquainted with the plant’s product lineup.
Minsk Tractor Works operates OOO MTZ-Stavropol trading house in Astrakhan Oblast. It does not only sell tractors but also provides high-quality after-sales service, supplies spare parts, said the acting Deputy Director General for Marketing-Marketing Director Yuri Pototurko. “We are determined to expand our cooperation and we hope that it will be successful for both parties,” he added.
Founded in 1946, MTZ is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery not only in the CIS but also in the world. Belarusian tractors operate in 150 countries. In 2017 MTZ increased exports by 26% to $561 million.
