MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – PAO Sberbank is ready to support education projects in Belarus. Sberbank President, Chairman of the Board German Gref made the relevant statement after meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 27 June, BelTA has learned.
German Gref said: “Sberbank supports a very large number of education projects in Russia. We’ve agreed what work of ours we will show to the president during his next visit. We will welcome a Belarusian delegation for exploring this field. If there is an interest, we are ready to start implementing education support programs here, in Belarus.”
German Gref mentioned the Russian program Teacher for Russia as an example. “Our colleagues here, in Belarus, our daughter bank suggests launching a similar program. Today we’ve discussed the matter and agreed that after studying this program and the program for creating an education platform we will return to this idea,” he said.
