MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) - The Belarusian-Chinese cross-border e-commerce forum has taken place in Qingdao, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Beijing.
The event was attended by a Belarusian delegation led by Ambassador to China Kirill Rudy. The delegation comprised Belarus’ Deputy Economy Minister Elena Perminova, representatives of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, Belgospishcheprom, Bellegprom, Beltamozhservice, and Belpochta. Taking part in the forum on China’s behalf were more than 150 companies specializing in cross-border e-commerce.
During the opening ceremony of the forum documents on trade and economic cooperation were signed between Belarusian and Chinese participants. The Meat Dairy Company and KOVO Group concluded an agreement to supply high value added food products to the Chinese market.
After the forum Kirill Rudy met with Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee Wang Qingxian and Qingdao Vice Mayor Xue Qingguo. The parties discussed cooperation between Belarus and the Chinese city in trade, education, tourism and also interaction between the twin cities Orsha and Qingdao.
