MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Nazarov and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia’s Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin discussed the prospects for cooperation between Belarus and the Russian region, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.
"Belarus and Russia are working in a new reality - the reality of sweeping sanctions from unfriendly states. Taking into account the tasks set by the heads of our states, in my opinion, we need a qualitative reboot of bilateral relations and search for new points of growth in mutual trade," Yuri Nazarov emphasized.
He noted that Belarus is ready to increase the volume of supplies of metal cord, elevators, grain and forage harvesters, tractors and MAZ trucks to Tatarstan. Belavtodor is ready to start the construction of the Shali-Bavly road on the Alekseevskoye - Almetyevsk section.
The parties also reaffirmed their commitment to developing cooperation in the light and woodworking industries, the petrochemical sector.
