MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – Promising Belarusian investment projects will be presented by the National Agency of Investment and Privatization (NAIP) during the China International Import Expo, which opened in Shanghai on 5 November and will last till 10 November, BelTA has learned.
The agency will arrange daily presentations focusing on Belarus’ investment climate, terms of doing business, promising sites and investment projects.
The agency will also act as a moderator of the investment section of the Belarusian-Chinese forum, which will take place on 7 November. The forum will feature panel sessions on Belarus’ export and innovation potential and the appeal of tourism, educational, and medical services of Belarus.
During the expo over 80 Belarusian companies will present their export capabilities in the spheres of trade, investment, innovation, healthcare, tourism, culture, and education. The total exhibition area of Belarusian stands is 778m2.
The China International Import Expo is taking place in the world’s largest exhibition complex, which area exceeds 1.5 million m2. Over 2,800 companies from 130 countries are expected to take part in the expo. The number of wholesale buyers is expected to reach 150,000. The expo has been organized by the Chinese Commerce Ministry and the Shanghai Municipal Government. The event is taking place under the aegis of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
