GOMEL, 20 October (BelTA) – A business delegation of Poland’s Lubuskie Province will visit Gomel Oblast on 25-26 October, BelTA learnt from the Gomel Oblast Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The visit will be aimed at strengthening business contacts with the Gomel Oblast companies. Polish businessmen show big interest in cooperation in such sectors as construction, production of reinforced concrete, steel frames, furniture, heat engineering equipment and metal thermochemical treatment.
Business meetings with the participation of Polish representatives and also a seminar on business doing in Belarus (taxes, duties, goods import and export restrictions, foreign currency trade) will be held at the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 25 October. The program will also include visits to a number of industrial companies.
The cooperation agreement between Belarus’ Gomel Oblast and Lubuskie Province of Poland was signed in 2007. This document makes the basis for interregional relations, the development of business contacts in trade, economic and investment, cooperation in culture, education, physical education, sport and tourism.
