PM: Almost Br400bn allocated for state programs in Belarus in 2021-2023

PM: Almost Br400bn allocated for state programs in Belarus in 2021-2023

MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) - In 2021-2023, almost Br400 billion was allocated for the state programs, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers, BelTA has learned.

“We are implementing 29 state programs in the current five-year plan. For the past three years, a colossal amount has been earmarked for these programs: almost Br400 billion, a third of which are budget funds," Roman Golovchenko said.

Undoubtedly, certain results have been achieved, he added. "As part of the state programs, almost 13 million square meters of housing have been built. 95 healthcare facilities, 41 kindergartens, 15 schools were put into operation. About 8,000km of roads have been built and repaired for the three years," the prime minister cited the figures.

In general, over 1.800 measures have been completed over three years, which accounts for more than 80% of the plan. "The figures are significant and, in general, speak well of the status of the state programs. But still along achievements there are also shortcomings," the head of government said.

The Economy Ministry has assessed the country’s economic performance over the past three years. The results have been submitted for a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers.
