MOSCOW, 10 October (BelTA) – The Union State gas market may be synchronized with the common market of the Eurasian Economic Union in the future, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, BelTA has learned.
“Work on the unified gas market of the Union State can be synchronized with the work on the common gas market of the Eurasian Economic Union going forward,” said Viktor Karankevich.
“In line with plans, the participants of the market are expected to trade through direct gas contracts and through exchange trade. We also expect non-discriminatory and transparent access to the gas transportation systems of the EAEU countries on the basis of uniform rules,” the deputy prime minister specified.
