MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Belarus and China have plans to set up a joint trading company to promote Belarusian products on the Chinese market, Zoya Kavaleva, manager for Belarus at DRex Food Group, told the media after the talks with Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats on 12 June, BelTA has learned.

The parties considered matters related to the establishment of a joint trading enterprise that would promote Belarusian products on the Chinese market. “The company will sell dairy products. Later, it will probably start investing in the Belarusian dairy plants,” Zoya Kavaleva noted.

She added that DRex Food Group is interested in investing in OAO Zdravushka Milk. “We would like to invest in Zdravushka Milk. We have liked the plant very much. Maybe we will purchase a share in the company in the future,” Zoya Kavaleva said.

Besides, DRex Food Group is eager to build a cattle breeding farm in Belarus.

A delegation comprising members of the management of the big Chinese companies Xinrongji Holding Group and DRex Food Group are in Belarus on a working visit. They are ready to invest $1 billion in the modernization of enterprises in Belarus and the construction of new ones. Plans have been made to sign a cooperation protocol during the visit.
