Plans to finish large piece of China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone infrastructure by year end

MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – SZAO Industrial Park Development Company will finish building the infrastructure on an area of 850ha, BelTA learned from the company’s First Deputy Director General Kirill Koroteyev during the celebration of China-Belarus Industrial Park Day on 11 May.

The executive said: “We keep building. Infrastructure on an area of 350ha was commissioned last year. It is necessary to commission infrastructure on an area of 850ha this year. It is the first stage of our project. We will finish work in this territory by the end of the year.” Kirill Koroteyev went on saying that the work primarily focuses on building networks and roads. In particular, about 30km of additional roads will be built. “We want the entire 850ha territory used by resident companies this year,” said the executive.

Besides, Industrial Park Development Company will start implementing the second stage of the project by the end of the year. “We intend to start designing for another 2,200ha. We are going to work out the detailed design plan. An international tender has been called. Famous European and Asian companies will take part in it. We would like to see what new things they have to offer as far as town planning is concerned. Primarily Belarusian companies with assistance of the Chinese side took care of the first stage. But now we would like to study the European experience of organizing space, territory, and zoning,” explained Kirill Koroteyev.

The company is also working on building premises, which are later leased to resident companies. “We are going to build three more buildings each as large as 10,000m2 this year. Besides, we are starting creating the bonded area — another 20,000m2 or so. We would like to have about 50,000m2 ready for getting leased to resident companies by the end of the year,” said Kirill Koroteyev.

Plaques of eleven new resident companies were solemnly unveiled as part of the celebration of China-Belarus Industrial Park Day. Apart from that, awards were bestowed upon the first three companies to commission their manufacturing enterprises. Those are the Chinese-Belarusian trade and logistics subpark, OOO CETC China Electronic Technology, and OOO Levanta Group. A Chinese-Belarusian design institute was also opened on 11 May. A photo exhibition to showcase Chinese enterprises in Belarus took place. A bicycle tour of the park’s territory was also arranged.
