MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – A subpark to make light-emitting diode (LED) products will be established in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in China told BelTA.
The agreement was reached when a Belarusian delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy visited Guangdong Province, which had been twinned with Minsk Oblast. The Belarusian delegation met with representatives of the Guangdong Province association of manufacturers of lighting appliances, who are interested in setting up a Guangdong subpark in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone in order to make modern LED products. It was decided that the agreement on opening the subpark will be signed on 18 January.
Apart from that, representatives of the Guangdong Province association of manufacturers of lighting appliances are expected to visit Minsk in February.
At present the Chinese lighting technology industry grows 20% larger every year. The annual output of lighting appliances in China exceeds 500 billion yuans. Guangdong Province accounts for more than 60% of the total. Today it is home to over 2,000 manufacturers of lighting appliances.
