Pilot production of Belarus’ COVID-19 vaccine to go online as scheduled

MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) - The pilot production of the Belarusian vaccine against COVID-19 will be set up on time, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

On 13 January Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich and Vitebsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Subbotin held a working meeting with representatives of the National Scientific and Practical Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, Belmedpreparaty, Belgosproyekt Design Institute and the general contractor Stroitrest No.35.

The project implementation was discussed at the production site of the future COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing facility.

“The participants discussed the pilot production of the vaccine in detail. It was noted that all the activities are going according to the plan and the project will be implemented on time,” the press service said.

They also discussed a schedule for the delivery of equipment from Germany, Poland, and the Republic of Korea.
