MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – In January-September 2017 Minsk National Airport accommodated 3.1 million passengers, which was up by 22% over the same period a year earlier, BelTA learned from the website of the airport.
In September 2017 Minsk National Airport handled 403,000 passengers, an increase of 13.6%. The airport serviced 2,260 flights in September (up 5.2% from the same period of last year) and 18,524 flights since the beginning of the year (up 7.7%).
Minsk National Airport is Belarus' first international airport that has been certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. The airport is home to the national air carrier Belavia as well as cargo carriers Transaviaexport, Rubystar, and Genex. The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
