MOSCOW, 24 January (BelTA) - More than 70 Belarusian enterprises will participate in the 24th edition of Prodexpo, the international exhibition for food, beverages and raw materials, which will be held in Moscow at the Expocenter exhibition complex on 6-10 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.
“The expo will widely feature Belarusian enterprises of meat-and-dairy, bakery, confectionery, alcoholic beverages and other industries. The expo is designed for professionals and focuses on long-term contracts on deliveries of foodstuffs to the Russian market,” the Embassy said.
In particular, the Belarusian dairy industry will be presented by Babushkina Krynka dairy, Glubokoye dairy canning factory, Pruzhany dairy plant, Belovezhskie Syry dairy, Molochny Mir dairy, Zdravushka-Milk and Milkavita. The Belarusian meat industry will be represented by meat-packing plants from Brest, Vitebsk, Bobruisk, Volkovysk, Slutsk, Bereza meat-canning plant, Inco-food, Dzerzhinsky agrokombinat and Kalinkovichi meat-processing plant. Confectionery and beverage section will feature Belarusian Spartak, Kommunarka, Krasny Mozyryanin, Krasny Pischevik, Slodych, Minsk Kristall, Minsk Soft Drinks Factory, Lidskoe Pivo and Krinitsa. The baking industry will be represented by Minsk bakery plant, Grodnokhlebprom, Slutsk bakery, Lidakhleboproduct.
Prodexpo is the most prestigious annual event in Eastern Europe in the field of food and beverages. For many years the expo has been the trendsetter in the development of the food industry in the region.
In 2016 the expo, which was organized by Expocenter with the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, was attended by about 2,000 companies from 67 countries.
