MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) — Over 6.7 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 9 August, 6.753 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested, which includes 5.697 million tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops ( 81.8% of the area under these crops) and 1.056 million tonnes of winter rapeseed.
The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast harvested 1.825 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed), Grodno Oblast - 1.537 million tonnes, Brest Oblast - 1.507 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast - 714,400 tonnes, Gomel Oblast - 648,000 tonnes and Vitebsk Oblast – 521,400 tonnes.
As to other crops, 89% of winter rye was harvested, 83.2% of spring barley, 81.4% of wheat, 79.4% of oats, 78.1% of triticale, and 62.5% of leguminous crops.
All oblasts have completed harvesting winter barley and winter rapeseed.
Meanwhile, flax was pulled from 39,900 hectares, which is 89.1% of the area under this crop.
