MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – Over 1.848 million tonnes of cereals including rapeseed has been harvested in Belarus, the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
As of 29 July, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, and millet) were harvested from 352,200 hectares, which is 17.8% of the target area. Some 1.275 million tonnes of grain was produced, with the average yield at 36.2 centners per hectare.
Winter rapeseed for grain was gathered in from 226,600 hectares (68.1% of the target area), with 572,400 tonnes produced and the average yield at 25.3 centners per hectare.
Flax was pulled from 20,700 hectares, which is 47.6% of the area under this crop. Straw was collected from 224,600 hectares or 63.8% after cereals and leguminous crops were harvested.
