MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – More than 1.3 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 13 July, 1.325 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested, which includes 949,000 tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops and 376,000 tonnes of winter rapeseed.
Meanwhile, flax was pulled from 10,600 hectares, which is 23.6% of the area under this crop.
Straw left after harvesting cereals and leguminous crops was removed from 53.7% of the designated area.
A total of 3.059 million tonnes of grass feed was harvested (31.2% of the plan), which is 10.17 centners of feed units per 1 conventional livestock head (up by 2.57 centners of feed units over 2023).
Farmers are stepping up efforts to apply organic fertilizers. All in all, 10.9 million tonnes of fertilizers were placed on the fields in the run-up to sowing winter crops, 1.71 million tonnes of fertilizers have already been applied.
