MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) – Madrid is hosting the Second Belarusian-Spanish Business Forum from 2 to 3 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in France.

Tecniberia, a Spanish non-profit association, hosted a presentation of the opportunities for trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Belarus on 2 June. Spanish businessmen were briefed about the investment climate and the legislation regulating the activities of foreign companies and investors in Belarus. The presentation was attended by representatives of large engineering companies Consultrans, Einsa, Elecnor, Emgrisa, Gespol, SimLoc Research, and WHN willing to implement infrastructure projects in Belarus.

On 3 June, one of the leading Spanish law firms Lus Law hosted a presentation for Spanish business circles about the business environment in Belarus, investment laws, tax laws and new opportunities for doing business arising from the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Belarusian-Spanish Business Forum has drawn representatives of over 30 Spanish companies. An agreement was signed with the management of Tecniberia and Lus Law to organize sector-specific presentations of opportunities for cooperation with Belarus. A number of companies showed eagerness to send business delegations to Belarus in H2 2016.

The forum has been organized by the Belarusian Embassy in France responsible for matters of cooperation with Spain. Partaking in the event are Belarusian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France with concurrent accreditation to Spain Pavel Latushko, representatives of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Center of Marketing and Price Study, and law firm Sysouev, Bondar, Khrapoutski. Tecniberia and Lus Law are partners of the business forum.
