MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Opportunities of economic cooperation with Belarus were presented in Canada during a visit of Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko to this country, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian diplomat attended an economic workshop organized by the Belarusian Embassy in Canada jointly with the Mogilev Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association. Oleg Kravchenko presented opportunities for economic cooperation with Belarus. The event gathered representatives of Canadian enterprises, business associations interested in establishing cooperation with Belarus, and also Canadian federal government authorities.
Oleg Kravchenko met with Alexandra Bugailiskis, Assistant Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. “The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Belarus-Canada relations, intensification of bilateral interaction, and the situation in Eastern Europe,” the press service said.
The Belarusian diplomat gave a lecture at Carleton University in Ottawa that was attended by students and teaching staff, representatives of government agencies and diplomats accredited to Canada.
On 15 February, Oleg Kravchenko will take part in a Belarus-Canada economic forum in Vancouver and attend a meeting at the British Columbia Ministry of International Trade.
