According to Dmitry Krutoi, this sector has been the main driver behind the economic growth for the past seven years. Today IT services account for 6.5% of the country's GDP. “This is a very big share taking into account the accelerated growth which is demonstrated by our IT companies. In its influence on the economy IT has caught up with many traditional sectors such as agriculture, transport and production of building materials,” he stressed.
The government will continue supporting the development of the high-technology sector. Investors from Switzerland also show interest in the sector.
