GOMEL, 15 December (BelTA) - 2022 has become a record year for the country’s Belorusneft in terms of hydrocarbon production, Belorusneft Director General Aleksandr Lyakhov told BelTA.
Aleksandr Lyakhov stressed that Belarus' oil production keeps growing. “This year has become a record one. Oil output is expected to grow by almost 75,000 tonnes year-on-year. There has not been such an increase in production - up to 1.8 million tonnes - for more than 20 years. This is the main result for the company in 2022. We are going to keep working and use every opportunity to further increase the output,” he stressed.
The company is convinced that the work associated with oil production requires the use of new technologies. “The years 2021-2022 were marked by the construction of new wells using state-of-the-art world-class technologies. This work has given its result, so we intend to further improve this process and achieve new successes. This is the main focus of the company’s work. In general, work with new technologies will be typical for all activities of our company,” the director general said.
