OAO Belshina doubles export to non-CIS countries in 2015

MOGILEV, 21 August (BelTA) – This year OAO Belshina has doubled the export of its products to non-CIS countries, Belshina General Director Alexei Yakovlev told media, BelTA has learned.

Alexei Yakovlev stressed that in the current economic situation, the diversification of supplies is the most important thing, and this is what Belshina is working on. "We have almost doubled the export as compared with last year, and continue working on this. For the time being the share is not as big as we wanted to, just about 15%. But we have set ourselves an ambitious task – to bring this figure up to 20% by the end of the year, and subsequently up to 30%. This is very important today given the meltdown on our traditional markets," said Alexei Yakovlev.

He noted that the increase in the export was made possible due to the modernization of the enterprises. "The upgrade has allowed us to start manufacturing new tires, to achieve higher quality. And now we see that the prospects for the company are good,” he noted.

Speaking about the upgrade benefits, he noted that the company gives world-class warranty on its products. "For example, we give up to 6 years warranty on agricultural tires, which is one of the largest lines of our business. We could not do it before. In addition, the number of reclamations has decreased tenfold this is all thanks to the new technology," said the head of the company.

Today OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno is hosting an on-site meeting of the monitoring group to discuss the performance of the industrial complex of Mogilev Oblast (mechanical engineering, chemical and timber industries). The meeting is led by Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.
