MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) - Belarus exports its meat and dairy, confectionery products and products of other sectors of the food industry to more than 100 countries, and their number is on a constant rise, Ksenia Meleshko, head of the main department of foreign economic activity of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry said during a press conference on the upcoming Prodexpo 2024 exhibition, BelTA has learned.
“Food exports are our priority. Every year we grow both in natural and value volumes. Export sales are influenced by different factors. The plan has been set by the head of state, and we will do our best to get as close to the $9 billion export target as possible,” the head of the main department of foreign economic activity said.
Today, Belarus sells food products to more than 100 countries, including meat and dairy products, confectionery products and products of other sectors of the food industry. Ksenia Meleshko emphasized that the number of exporters of Belarusian foodstuffs increases every year.
The 30th international exhibition Prodexpo 2024 will take place in the Belarusian capital on 12-15 November and will bring together 160 participants representing seven countries.
