MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – New medical and scientific projects will be implemented in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, BelTA learned from the press service of the industrial park.
SinoBelMedica and the Shandong Academy of Sciences from China signed an agreement of intent to enter the Great Stone industrial park. The signing ceremony was held in the industrial park during the state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to China.
A cooperation agreement on operation of Belarus National Pavilion on the Tmall and Kuaishou platforms was also signed. Taking part in the event were heads of the founding companies of Great Stone’s future resident companies and UJU Holding Ltd, as well as the management of the Great Stone industrial park.
In line with the documents, there are plans to launch projects to produce medical equipment and to conduct scientific research in the Great Stone park. The third agreement seeks to expand operations of Belarus National Pavilion on popular Chinese online resources Tmall and Kuaishou.
The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone is a special economic zone with a special legal regime. It is located 25km away from Minsk. The park’s priority development areas include mechanical engineering, electronics and telecommunications, biotechnologies, pharmaceutics, new materials, logistics, digital commerce, big data storage and processing.
