MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko sees prospects for Belarusian exports to the Russian market in the supplies of new types of products. The diplomat made the statement during the ONT TV show on 9 June, BelTA has learned.
According to the Ambassador, Belarusian companies have been expanding the assortment of supplies to Russia through modified equipment, new brands of food products, high-technology goods that win the corresponding niches on the Russian market. “I think we should continue increasing the supplies of our new products and keep the positions regardless of the relations between Russia and the EU in sanction matters,” said Igor Petrishenko. He stressed that the share of Belarusian food products on the Russian market has been gradually increasing. From 11% earlier it increased to 15% in 2015.
Summarizing the results of the 3rd Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions, Igor Petrishenko stated that a number of contracts were signed on the delivery of Belarusian equipment, products of the Belneftekhim Concern to Russia and other documents. According to the diplomat, a lively discussion took place at the forum which would contribute to the development of the social and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
