New container train from Europe to China passes through Bruzgi-Kuznica border checkpoint

MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways organized the passage of the container train from Europe to China via the Bruzgi-Kuznica border checkpoint, BelTA learned from the press center of Belarusian Railways.

“It is the first container train that has taken on a new route through the Bruzgi-Kuznica border checkpoint at the Belarusian-Polish. Belarusian Railways devotes great attention to the development of favorable conditions to attract additional traffic flows in the East-West-East direction. For expansion and optimal use of the existing capacities at the Belarusian-Polish border checkpoints Belarusian Railways organizes the passage of container trains through border checkpoints Bruzgi-Kuznica Bialostocka and Svisloch-Siemianowka,” the press center informed.

The train departed from Lodz (Poland) on 31 July to Chengdu (China). It includes forty-one 40ft containers. “As the train arrived at the Bruzgi station we promptly did the paperwork and had the containers reloaded onto broad-gauge wagons. Approximate travel time from departure station to destination station will be about 14 days,” Belarusian Railways noted.

OOO Belintertrans Germany is the operator of the container train in Europe and Transport-Logistics Center (BTLC) in the countries that operate the 1520 gauge.
