MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – The first Belarusian-US seminar on sci-tech cooperation will take place at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) on 15-16 December, BelTA learnt from the NASB press service.
The event will be held as part of a visit of a scientific delegation from the United States scheduled for 13-18 December. The major goal of the visit is to partake in the seminar and hold talks with the representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to discuss the promising areas in the Belarusian-US cooperation in science and education, and the mechanisms of their implementation.
The first Belarusian-US seminar on sci-tech cooperation will be held in line with the agreements reached during the visit of the delegations of the National Academies of the United States to the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The program of the visit will also include a roundtable to discuss the expansion of the Belarusian-US sci-tech cooperation.
Members of the US scientific delegation will visit the Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences, the NASB Sci-Tech Center of Foodstuffs, the Museum of the History of the National Academy of Sciences, the permanent exhibition on the achievements of the national science. Meetings will be also held in the State Science and Technology Committee and the Belarusian State University.
