MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich invited South Korea to set up a joint venture to produce TV sets and panels as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to Belarus Kim Yong-Ho on 18 July, BelTA has learned.
“As for our trade and economic cooperation, I think that we could bolster ties in these areas. First of all, I would like to invite one of your companies to build a joint factory to manufacture TV sets and panels. Samsung or LG may be our partners,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
He pointed out that Belarus is working hard to reform its economy, and it would be great to strengthen international scientific and technical cooperation with South Korea. “We already have certain cooperation achievements, and I would like Belarus and South Korea to have joint projects that are really beneficial to both countries,” Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed. As an example, he cited the Belarusian-Korean information access center that has shown considerable results over just a year and a half since its establishment.
