In spite of the difficult relations with the European Union, Minsk Tractor Works also managed to increase its presence in some markets, for example, Hungary, Poland and Romania. In general, the growth of exports to European countries exceeded 120%,” head of the marketing research and statistics department of the MTZ marketing center Vitaly Prishchep said.
Exports to the neighboring countries increased by 20.4%. In the former Soviet Union, Russia is traditionally the leader in terms of volume. More than 13,500 tractors were delivered there. MTZ sold 6,200 tractors to Ukraine, and 4,100 to Kazakhstan. The export growth rate to these countries stood at 104.2%, 173.4% and 105.5% respectively.
