MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) – Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) increased its export by almost 25% in 2021 in comparison with 2020, BelTA learned from the MTZ marketing center.

More than 36,000 tractors and machinery were delivered abroad. In 2021 MTZ delivered 41,6% more products to the non-CIS states than the year before. “As for the countries of the so-called far arc, we would like to note a significant increase of supplies to Pakistan and Egypt, as well as to Cuba. In spite of the difficult relations with the European Union, Minsk Tractor Works also managed to increase its presence in some markets, for example, Hungary, Poland and Romania. In general, the growth of exports to European countries exceeded 120%,” head of the marketing research and statistics department of the MTZ marketing center Vitaly Prishchep said.

Exports to the neighboring countries increased by 20.4%. In the former Soviet Union, Russia is traditionally the leader in terms of volume. More than 13,500 tractors were delivered there. MTZ sold 6,200 tractors to Ukraine, and 4,100 to Kazakhstan. The export growth rate to these countries stood at 104.2%, 173.4% and 105.5% respectively.
