MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – The most popular import-substituting products that are sold via the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange have been identified, the BUCE press service told BelTA.
In January-April 2023 the most popular import-substituting goods sold via the industrial goods and consumer goods platform of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange included server equipment, components for machines and mechanisms, ventilation systems, road construction and maintenance machines, and construction materials.
In particular, the sum of deals for buying servers totaled Br6.7 million or about 6% of the total volume of import-substituting products sold via BUCE. The share of components for rolling stock was close to 4%. Apart from that, ventilation systems, road construction and maintenance machines, and heat insulation goods were among the most popular products.
The BUCE press service noted that import-substituting products made in Belarus, Russia, and China enjoy the strongest demand at BUCE. For instance, a lion’s share of the server equipment in this year’s top sellers list was made by domestic enterprises. As far as road construction and maintenance machines are concerned, most of them come from Belarus or China. As for components and parts, they are supplied by Belarus, China, or Russia. If necessary, users of the trade platform can filter offers by the country of origin of the goods and tweak other important parameters such as delivery and payment options. “This is why users can always get the best offer,” the BUCE press service said.
According to the source, at present the industrial goods and consumer goods platform of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange lists about 46,000 active applications for selling and buying import-substituting products, including over 500 applications for making or delivering goods to order. The total number of unique products available on the BUCE platform has already exceeded 42,000.
