MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – The positive experience of the Baltic investors in Belarus motivates businessmen from other EU countries, Sergei Kizima, Chairman of the International Relations Department of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of Belarus, said during a roundtable that discussed the Baltic region development prospects, BelTA has learned.
“For Belarus, it is very important to develop cooperation with the Baltic countries because of the investment potential. Baltic investors come to the Belarusian market en masse and bring money, which we are absolutely satisfied with. They build hypermarkets, restaurants, logistics centers, and this inflow of foreign direct investment undoubtedly contributes to the stabilization of the Belarusian ruble. Investors from the Baltic states have learned to earn money in Belarus, and their positive experience is likely to attract investors from other countries of the European Union,” Sergei Kizima noted.
In his words, Belarus and the countries of the Baltic region have the possibility of exchanging noncompeting goods and services. This situation creates favorable and fair terms for developing cooperation and partnership ties.
