KIEV, 12 August (BelTA) – Belarus intends to transship more cargoes via the southern ports of Ukraine. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei made the statement after negotiations with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin on 12 August, BelTA has learned.
Vladimir Makei underlined that the Belarusian side was interested in developing cooperation with Ukraine in transportation and logistics more vigorously. This is why Ukraine’s southern ports are of particular interest to Belarus.
The Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that he intended to continue in Odessa the dialogue he had started with his Ukrainian counterpart in Kiev. “We hope we will discuss the increase in the transshipment of our cargoes via the ports of Odessa, Ilyichivsk, and other ones there,” he said.
