According to Stephane Bride, the trade and economic relations between Moldova and Belarus are an example of strategic partnership between the two countries aimed at the implementation of projects mutually beneficial for both the sides.

In his words, the agreement between the Economy Ministry of Moldova and the Industry Ministry of Belarus to implement a joint project on the renewal of the Chisinau bus fleet can be cited as a good example. “The goal of the agreement is to launch a modern bus assembling line in Chisinau in cooperation with partners from Belarus. The move will help address the shortage of the passenger transport in the Moldovan capital,” said Stephane Bride.

In turn, Sergei Chichuk said that the trade and economic cooperation between Moldova that chose integration into the European Union and Belarus oriented on strengthening relations in the Customs Union is an example for partners to build mutually beneficial relations.

The parties shared opinions on the current state of the trade and economic relations between the two countries, noting that the contraction of exports and imports is, first of all, related to the geopolitical situation in the region which affects the economy of the two states, and emphasized the underuse of the countries' potential in the development of bilateral cooperation.

Stephane Bride and Sergei Chichuk agreed to organize expert consultations in order to develop concrete proposals for the development and further implementation of investment projects both in Moldova and Belarus.
