MOGILEV, 26 June (BelTA) – In 2018 Mogilev Oblast has added eight new destinations to its geography of sales, BelTA learned from the economy committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.
In January-April 2018 local companies entered the markets of the Dominican Republic, Congo, Kenya, Republic of Korea, Macedonia, Nigeria, Oman and Syria. All in all, Mogilev Oblast exports to 76 countries worldwide.
In January-April 2018 local manufacturers increased their exports to Albania (16 times), Austria (8 times), Belgium (3 times), Bosnia and Herzegovina (1.5 times), Georgia (2 times), Iran (5 times), Israel (2.5 times), Italy (3 times), the UAE (2 times), Serbia (2.5 times), Turkey (4.5 times), France (2 times), Czechia (2 times), Estonia (1.5 times), Japan (2.5 times) and other counties over the same period a year before.
“Due to persistent efforts to diversify sales markets, we have achieved a 63.7% growth in commodity exports to the EU member states. Exports to other countries rose by 8%. Deliveries to the EAEU countries shrank by 2.1%, of them the export to Russia dropped by 2.6% or by $11.1 million,” the economy committee of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee informed.
