MOSCOW, 13 November (BelTA) – Mogilev Oblast presented its export potential and cooperation proposals before Russian and Chinese partners in the Business and Cultural Complex of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia in Moscow on 13 November, BelTA has learned.
Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Ruslan Strakhar said: “We’ve invited 10 Russian regions and two Chinese provinces, which have representative offices in Moscow, to attend the presentation. Today we once again presented Mogilev Oblast’s economic potential. Close attention was paid to the investment potential. A separate presentation of the free economic zone Mogilev also took place. FEZ Mogilev is ready to suggest new projects to our partners.”
Apart from that, Mogilev Oblast presented its tourism potential. “Cooperation in tourism is getting particularly relevant today. We would like to once again show our new products, to show how we can be of use for our Chinese and Russian friends,” the deputy head of the Mogilev Oblast administration said.
Ruslan Strakhar also remarked that the business program of the Mogilev Oblast delegation’s visit to Moscow was not limited to this presentation. “Yesterday we visited a complex where our furniture manufacturers are represented. And we see that the withdrawal of IKEA, for which our major woodworking enterprises used to work, left a vacuum that needs to be filled with something. And we saw individual accomplishments. We saw that a retail chain is being established across the entire Russia to represent not one enterprise but at least seven. We’ve made our new brand Good Luck, which represents all the household goods,” the official noted.
Apart from that, the Mogilev Oblast delegation visited a store of Krasny Pischevik Company. “We see that Belarusian sweets are in demand in Moscow. This is why opening a third store in the Russian capital is the idea now,” Ruslan Strakhar said.
“In the Republic of Belarus Mogilev Oblast has been tasked with advancing cooperation with Russia’s Khabarovsk Territory and Primorye Territory. Since both regions are taking part in the Russia Expo at the exhibition center VDNH these days, we’ve already held negotiations with the governor of Primorye Territory. Tomorrow we intend to negotiate with the Khabarovsk Territory governor. We will once again discuss the existing cooperation accomplishments and will determine further vectors,” the official added.
