Mogilev, Moscow’s District establish sister-city relations

MOSOCW, 13 July (BelTA) - Mogilev and Moscow’s Sokolinaya Gora District established sister-city relationship. The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Mogilev City Hall Vladimir Tsumarev and head of the Sokolinaya Gora District of the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow Alexander Aksenov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

In the very near future the parties will give substance to the agreement by devising projects in various areas of collaboration, including economy.

The parties noted that the sister-city relationships rely on the 15-year partnership. “The years of cooperation have shown that we made it right by promoting cooperation at the regional level. Mogilev and Sokolinaya Gora maintain close long-standing ties: for 15 years of friendship the Belarusians and Muscovites have visited each other on numerous occasions at sporting events, military and state holidays,” the press service said.
