MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Representatives of over 40 higher education institutions will discuss global energy matters within sustainable development of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and the countries of the region at the 6th Forum of the Union State Engineering and Technological Universities in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU).
The event will take place on the basis of innovative platforms of the BNTU on 23-27 October. Taking part in the forum will be the ten Belarusian universities and over 30 Russian higher education institutions as well as outstanding scientists of the CIS and non-CIS countries. Close attention will be given to the energy safety of the Belarusian nuclear power plant as well as the development and production of new-generation electric cars.
The forum is sponsored by the Belarusian Ministry of Education, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, and the Standing Committee of the Union State. State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Grigory Rapota and the Nobel Prize laureate Zhores Alferov will participate in the event.
The goal of the forum is to integrate the innovative solutions of students in coping with education issues in nuclear energy and present innovative projects in energy safety and energy efficiency.
