Minsk to host Prodexpo 2020 on 10-13 November

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – The international food industry expo Prodexpo will take place in Minsk on 10-13 November, BelTA learned from the Belexpo National Exhibition Center.

The program of the expo will include the business forum “Strategic prospects for the development of Belarus’ food industry” that will bring together representatives of government agencies and heads of leading food industry companies. The congress “Procurement in the food industry: from production to retail equipment” will feature B2B talks between suppliers and manufacturers of products and top managers of more than 25 Belarusian and foreign retail networks and online stores.

The program will also include the first international tasting competition, competitions among cooks and confectioners.

“In view of the epidemiological situation, we will take all the necessary safety measures to prevent the coronavirus spread,” the organizers said.

Prodexpo 2019 brought together more than 200 participants from Belarus, the CIS, the EU, and Asian countries. Taking part in the business forum were senior officials of seven ministries and government agencies and top managers of more than 120 enterprises. Representatives of eight countries, 26 retailers from Belarus, Russia, and China took part in blitz negotiations with authorized representatives of retail networks. The international culinary competition featured over 150 participants from five countries and the international symposium of bakers brought together over 200 participants from ten countries.
