MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – The first Belarusian-African Forum “Belarus and Africa: New Horizons” will be held in Minsk on 6 and 7 June, spokesperson for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told the media on 1 June, BelTA has learned.
The goal of the forum is to identify promising areas and forms of cooperation in industry and agriculture, and to lay out Belarus’ proposals regarding the ways to promote cooperation with African partners.
“To date, the number of registered participants from African countries is over 60 people, including heads of ministries and government agencies, businessmen and representatives of business associations, and the top executives of the African Export-Import Bank,” Dmitry Mironchik said.
The forum’s participants are scheduled to attend the events of the Belarusian Agriculture Week and to visit a number of industrial enterprises.
